Lou from Much Ado About Lou here.

I love cuddling up with a good book on a rainy day, a snowy day or in the sun…it is the perfect relaxation in my book. I recently re-read the Midnight Sons series from Debbie Macomber and knew I wanted to share it with you!

Debbie Macomber is my favorite author bar none. She pulls me into the worlds she creates with her words, and I can’t help but fall in love with the characters. I also love that she has plenty of series, so I am able to follow the lives of these characters for more than one book…which I love!

Midnight Sons Vol 1

Midnight Sons Volume 1

This book is actually two books in one. There are three volumes in this series with six books total. Volume 1 includes Brides for Brothers and The Marriage Risk.

Brides for Brothers gets you acquainted with the wonderful town of Hard Luck, Alaska, which is north of the Arctic Circle and the handful of people…most of them men…who live there. You meet the O’Halloran brothers and find out about their scheme to bring women to town. You also meet the lovely and resilient Abbey Sutherland. You can’t help but fall in love with Abbey and her children as Sawyer, the middle brother, soon finds out.

The Marriage Risk shows that you shouldn’t be too arrogant when you see someone else fall in love. Charles is the eldest O’Halloran and assumes he is immune to love, but he quickly finds out that is not true. You learn a little more about the history of Hard Luck and the families that live there in this book. You also meet sweet Lanni Caldwell. Charles falls hard for Lanni, but trouble comes when he finds out exactly who Lanni is, or better yet…who she is related to.

I am not sure how many times I have read this series. I know at least twice…possibly three or four times. I love this series so much that it is like watching my favorite movie over and over again!
